After visiting the impressive lookout tower and the Prochenhütte, be sure to visit the summit cross. The panorama is breathtaking and alpine. It's recommended to leave your bike at the bottom just before the final climb. If it's not too heavy, you can also carry or push it up for a summit photo; it's not far.

Beautiful view of the Ötscher, Scheiblingstein and Dürrenstein not far from the Hochkogel summit. There is a beautiful circular hike from Schieflau as a starting point with over 500 m altitude. Most sun-hungry hikers escape the fog and take the starting point from the Panoramastüberl.

When ascending from the Langau, an unmarked trail leads to the Scheibe or Scheiblingstein. There is only a small, inconspicuous stone mandala at the junction, which is easy to overlook.
