꼭 가봐야 합니다. 성문은 자전거 도로에서 불과 몇 미터 떨어져 있습니다.

이 성은 1679-1691년에 중세 수성(水城) 자리에 요한 루트비히 폰 호엔로에-퀸첼사우 백작에 의해 4개 동으로 이루어진 건물로 지어졌습니다. 1679년부터 1868년까지 호엔로에 가문의 거주지였으며, 1873년부터 1934년까지는 사범학교였습니다. 1937년부터 1939년까지 건물은 완전히 개조되었으며 오늘날에는 기숙사를 갖춘 국립 김나지움이 들어서 있습니다.

Waldenburg Castle sits majestically high above the Hohenlohe Plain, its walls, towers, and overall complex dominating the townscape. From the terraces and walls surrounding the castle, sweeping views of the landscape unfold – an impressive blend of history, architecture, and panorama, and one of the highlights of any tour around Waldenburg.

The Würzburg Gate is one of Forchtenberg's historic city gates and an impressive example of medieval urban architecture. 🏰🚪 It is located at the eastern entrance to the old town and was once part of the city fortifications that protected Forchtenberg from attacks from Würzburg. With its massive masonry, characteristic round arch, and adjacent half-timbered houses, it still exudes strength and history.

Although the road bike ride isn't ideal due to the cobblestones, the small town with its half-timbered buildings is very picturesque and worth a visit.

It's quite nice to drive past, but probably not something you'd plan a tour around. So, it's not really a highlight for road biking.
