Satzberg is a popular hiking mountain in the north of the Hütteldorf district in Vienna's 14th district, Penzing. A prominent promontory to the south is the Hüttelberg. Originally wooded, the mountain was deforested during the First World War and subsequently developed with haphazard and illegal settlements. One of the most beautiful views over the Vienna Woods, the Way of St. James, the Vienna Woods long-distance hiking trail 404, the Great Tullnerfeld circular hiking trail 475 and the Voralpenweg 04 pass here.

If you are nearby, you should definitely climb up to the lookout to enjoy the fantastic panoramic view. The lookout is not only a viewing point, but also an important radio facility used by various organizations. It is a joint project of the communities of Gablitz, Purkersdorf and Tullnerbach and is accessible all year round. I visited this mountain as part of my Dwarf Mountain Tours series.
