The Freudenau Harbor Bridge was opened in 1958, connecting the 2nd district with Simmering, spanning the entrance to Freudenau Harbor, the Danube Canal, and the road and railway lines. It is constructed as a prestressed concrete bridge with a pier cantilever design and is approximately 352 meters long, with a main span of approximately 89 meters. A particularly practical feature is that the bridge can also be crossed by bicycle, providing cyclists with a direct connection across the harbor and the Danube Canal. The bridge offers expansive views of the harbor facilities and the water, making it not only functional but also visually appealing.
