Eagle Lake is a stunning lake with a beach and camping destination on the north shore! Before making the trip, please see the USFS website to ensure the trail (and surrounding trails) are not closed due to wildfires.

Enjoy this beautiful lake nestled in a bowl at the feet of Salmon Red and Red Mountains. The shore is predominately tree-lined, but there are some grassy areas for a picnic. This would be a great spot to hang a hammock.

Lunch Rock is a huge slab of granite that gently slopes into Lake Serene from the shore. Its a great place to take photos, admire the view, and as the name indicates, eat lunch!

There are camping spots up here and you can swim in the lake. It's very peaceful and relaxing. Plan to spend some time enjoying the atmosphere.

Bring boots and spikes in the early spring. Tennis shoes will NOT suffice for reaching the lake. At the time of this post, there was an avalanche blocking the upper falls.
