There is a wet (no bridge) stream crossing at the far end of Swift Creek Lake, but this end of the lake has a bridge. This is a great spot to watch for birds and other wildlife.

Lewis G. Larus Park is a beautiful wooded park. There are several different hiking and biking trails to choose from, and the park is normally not too busy.

Once the site of the pump house that took water from the James River and supplied it to the City of Richmond, it is now a park with hiking and mountain biking trails. The old pump house and canal system is still standing in the park.
