Great hut! If you stay overnight, you should definitely hike up the Sonnenspitze again in the evening to watch the spectacular sunset.

here is the perfect starting point for hikes. It's easy to get up here by train and bus. The view is nice, but nothing compared to what is to come further up.

For a wonderful view of the city, you don't need to drive or hike up to the Nordkette. From the Hungerburg plateau you also have a really good overview and can make out the details of the old town and the winding Inn very well. The first farm on the plateau, the Attlmayr-Hof, was not established until 1840. Hikers were catered for here, from where the current name is supposed to be derived: Adolf Pichler is said to have described the place as a "Hungerburg" after a very poor meal.
