From the mountain station, it only takes 15 minutes to admire the beauty of creation from the summit cross of the Hochzeiger. A beautiful path also leads from here to the Sechszeiger. If you don't want to walk downhill, you can easily return from the Sechszeiger to the middle station with the chairlift.

pine hut Once upon a time there was a snack station that became the legendary meeting point of an entire region. The LAHÜ is now a household name, a meeting place, a place for excursions and, above all, a place of well-being. But how did it all begin? In 1984 our father, Alfred Pierer Senior, himself a keen hiker, decided to build a rustic hut on the Teichalmsee, where he fed hungry hikers with specialties from the region. At that time, the Latschenhütte accommodated around 32 people. In 2020, 36 years later, our LAHÜ is four times larger and has long been known and loved far beyond the borders of the Almenland by hikers, skiers, cross-country skiers, families and party enthusiasts alike.
