Beautifully situated lake at the Memminger Hütte

The Urgsee is beautifully nestled in the idyllic mountain landscape. A narrow hiking trail leads along the eastern shore.

We have heard a lot about the lake but unfortunately due to the weather and the snowfall we did not see the lake

A good place to stay overnight. However, you have to drive a bit up the mountain. The manager was very friendly.

A great swimming lake in the middle of nature and mountains

Mega beautiful lake that invites you to linger. But be careful, the water is very cold... a bath is only for the die-hard. 😉

Small refreshment right on the wayside

It is an old, man-made water reservoir that was built to irrigate agricultural facilities. Today it serves as a local recreation area and in summer as a swimming lake with a beautiful lawn and adventure playground. It is freely accessible. To reach it on foot, a path leads from Landeck to the water in about 30 minutes, with a beautiful panoramic view of the valley basin, or from Zams on the tram path (40 minutes). As a habitat for rare animals and plants, the Tramser Weiher is a body of water worthy of protection. Among other things, noble crabs, various species of dragonflies and pond mussels live here. There are also numerous fish in the lake, including carp, tench, pike and perch.
