The Urgsee is beautifully nestled in the idyllic mountain landscape. A narrow hiking trail leads along the eastern shore.

Great Alpine Club hut with two large dormitories, good food and a fantastic view: during the day over the surrounding valleys, at sunrise it is fantastic and at night over the Milky Way and in August over the Perseids.

A good place to stay overnight. However, you have to drive a bit up the mountain. The manager was very friendly.

In winter a restaurant for skiers, in summer an Alpine Club hut, perfectly renovated, great furnishings, mountaineering is fun there, for experienced mountaineers the Hexenkopf is a great destination, more lonely mountains towards the Swiss border, where you quickly forget the nearby ski slopes. Of course, the small lake below the hut, which gives it its name, is also worth mentioning.

The Hexenseehütte is located at 2,588 meters above sea level. Where else can you sleep so high and so comfortably? Mountain hikers can sleep in two camps with a total of 18 beds, for example to climb the Hexenkopf early in the morning at sunrise. Due to the infrastructure of the mountain railway, the hut is quite well equipped with showers and electricity. Even the starry nights are worth the climb.

Make a stop at the Alpengasthof on the Sunny Mountain. Finally a real hot chocolate 😇 so made with milk and not water. For the good hunger I can also offer the rosti with spiegrleien. Nice that there is also all kinds of choice for the vegetarian 👍

The low ropes course in the Sunny Mountain adventure park is the perfect place for little climbers. The kids can scramble over tree trunks, swing on ropes and balance over bridges - this requires skill, balance and concentration. The adventure park is at an altitude of 1,830 meters, so you are also guaranteed a wonderful view. In addition to the climbing garden, there is also a petting zoo, an adventure playground, the Almmuseum and a disc golf course. There is enough space and action for the whole family. If you get hungry while romping around, you will find a gastronomic offer in the park or you can use one of the barbecue areas. There is no entrance fee to the park, but you have to pay for some attractions. The Diasbahn takes you from Kappl up to the adventure park. From the mountain station it is only a stone's throw to Tobeland.
