The Bürser Gorge was formed by the interplay of water and ice after the retreat of the glaciers about 10,000 years ago. The Alvierbach stream created a spectacular, almost jungle-like landscape with moss-covered rocks and a rich flora.

The Mason Waterfall, a natural monument in Braz in the Klostertal valley, has a drop of 80 meters. The waterfall is fed by the Masonbach spring, which rises approximately 300 meters behind the waterfall on the Masonalpe. The waterfall is located on the left side of the valley (coming from Bludenz) and is unique in its shape. It lies at an elevation of 1,200 meters. The ascent is well marked.
