A beautiful open landscape, slightly hilly

Not far from the village of Strandlodshuse, which is mostly inhabited by tourists, this beach is perfect for relaxing. You can take a break from cycling here to fully enjoy Danish nature.

Turebyholm: In the mid-17th century, the scholar Birgitte Thott, who was known for her written and philosophical works, lived on Turebyholm. In 1747, Adam Gottlob Moltke bought Turebyholm, which he placed under his newly created county of Bregentved three years later. The farm is still owned by the Moltkes family in 2021. The then owner, Adam Gottlob Motlke, built Turebyholm's current main building in 1750 with the aim of it serving as a pavilion for him when he was visited by the king. This is Præstø's main church. The town of Præstø is first mentioned around 1300, and there was probably also a church in the town at that time. In the first half of the 15th century the construction of a tower for the church began. However, the other part of the old church was in very poor condition, and around the middle of the 15th century construction began on a completely new building – today's northern part of Præstø Church. After a hard tour through the forest, you can still spend the day on the beach here. Nice, albeit short, beach with white sand. A toilet is in the parking lot.
