At about the highest point and almost halfway through the tour, the Kobelalpe invites you to linger, with a great view! Overall, a very nice tour.

The waterfall is formed by the overflow of the Staufensee reservoir. The reservoir currently has very little water. The weir was recrossed. The path is accessible on the right side (coming from the Rappenloch Gorge).

I can't find a wildlife rest zone in this area; perhaps the authorities have downgraded the area because the wildlife probably has enough material to eat and isn't biting into the tree trunks anymore.
