Along with the Höllental Gorge, it is the deepest gorge in the Bavarian Alps and the deepest rocky ravine in Central Europe. Around 300,000 visitors take the 2.5-kilometer hiking trail through the gorge every year (Wikipedia).
Very nice and not difficult circular hike with refreshments. The path goes along the stream on the edge of the meadows and the forest. Run well with children. About seven kilometers.

A ladder leads down to the natural bridge that leads over the Schwarzwasserbach. At times the Schwarzwasserbach is completely dry, so you can explore the stream bed in this area on foot.
