Worth seeing, unfortunately the castle is closed.

The extensive landscape park surrounding Graz's Eggenberg Castle, with its valuable trees, is one of the most precious garden monuments in the country.

A guided tour is mandatory for a visit to the state rooms. It costs €18 for adults, and the park entrance fee of €2 is deducted. Exciting and very educational, the other three museums are included in the price. The coin museum is particularly recommended, where you can learn a lot about the history of money and Balthasar von Eggenberg, the great-grandfather of the owner of the palace and builder of the previous castle.

At the Plankenwarth pond you can get very good food and drinks. Very nice facility where everyone is welcome and seen. Apparently the fish is excellent!!!:) The hill through the forest towards Plankenwarth has a gradient of around 10% in some places. At the top you have lots of options towards Schirning, Graz or St. Oswald.

Very nice place and starting point for hikes or by bike

Eggenberg Castle is located west of Graz's old town. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and is therefore particularly worthy of protection. The castle gardens are beautifully laid out and invite you to take a stroll.
