A rustic hut near Hochmölbling. Excellent roast pork and apple strudel. A highly recommended overnight stay.

Very tasty homemade cheese dumpling soup and apple strudel! The portions are very large 🤗

Information for people with dogs beyond the "I'll just pick him up and carry him" 🤪 No perforated grilles, no ladders, everything made of wood. My dog managed it well (51 kilos). Small recommendation: walk up the gorge from the entrance. A few steps are a bit steep and long, I think going down is more difficult than going up 🙂 in places it is a bit narrow but there are enough places to pass each other. Entrance fee 6 euros

This gorge is very impressive, enormous masses of water form the rocks over millions of years.

In heavy rain, the paths around the lake are soggy and you can get up to your ankles in water. How to approach the upper gravel path, which leads you through the forest.

If you don't stop at the Spechtenseehütte, it's your own fault. There is good food, always good desserts and the drinks are good anyway 😋. And Herbert (landlord) is jo a ned z'wieda 😀.
