Saint Stephen (or in another spelling Stephan, both variants also partly with the Latin ending "...us"), patron saint of this church in the place of the same name, is one of the first seven deacons of the original Jerusalem community and is the first martyr (martyr) of early Christianity. The church commemorates him on the second day of Christmas, December 26th. When Stephen expressed his vision of the open heaven "But he, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked up into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God" (Acts chapter 7 verse 55), the people were so outraged that they drove him out of the city and stoned him.

Very nice wildlife park, especially for children, there is a lot to discover. You can get to the top by chairlift or on foot. You can also go down on a meadow scooter or on the toboggan run.

Beautiful zoo with a wonderful view from the mountain. Very nice large enclosures. Wonderful play areas for children.

The complex of the Benedictine monastery in Seckau, where monks still live, is really impressive. Be sure to take a look inside the basilica. The left tower once collapsed because the onion was too heavy. There is also a high school on the abbey grounds. You can find more information at https://www.abtei-seckau.at/.
