Top but very challenging

아름다운 목적지입니다. 운영 중인 산장(Turmschänke)이 있는 인상적인 타워 건축물입니다. 'Wolfsgrube'를 통한 빠른 오르막길입니다. 산길인 'Vorder-Tremmel'을 통한 하산은 순환 경로를 만듭니다. 출발점은 Sachendorf 주차장입니다. 산장은 5월 1일부터 10월 31일까지 (10:00 - 19:00) 계속 운영됩니다.

The village was first documented approximately 1,000 years ago, when it was owned by the Einödhof Castle estate. Einödhof Castle changed hands several times over the years. The castle ruins were gradually demolished over the years to prevent damage to the surrounding buildings. Today, only the castle's main tower and some dilapidated walls remain. Einödhof Castle is now privately owned. Under certain conditions, the Einödhof Castle ruins can still be visited.

The village remains largely rural to this day. Einödhof is home to two large farms and one smaller farm. The two large farms are located on the western edge of the village, in Alteinödhof. Neueinödhof is the name given to the small settlement in the east of the village, which consists of around eight single-family homes. The buildings on the northern side were all built during the 20th century, and those on the southern side during the 21st century.

Einödhof is a scattered settlement on the outskirts of Knittelfeld with approximately 28 inhabitants (as of April 10, 2024). The small settlement was located in the former municipality of Apfelberg; today it is located in the city of Knittelfeld, in the Murtal district (formerly Knittelfeld district), in the Austrian federal state of Styria.

The ruins of this castle are located a few hundred metres from the Murtal cycle path and the view is tempting to pause and take in the view. An information board briefly tells the history of the building and the associated estate over the last 900 years.

A very pretty church that is wonderful to hike to. On top there is a beautiful view.
