A hut accessible by car and a starting point for various hikes. Idyllically situated on Lake Winterleiten. I can't understand why an alpine hut would have a day off. This limits your planning as a (long-distance) hiker! It's also a shame they only open daily from 10 a.m.! https://winterleitenhuette.naturfreunde.at/

Look forward to a delicious snack with products from the Styrian pine region at the cozy Rothaidenhütte. Located at the foot of the Zirbitzkogel, it offers magnificent views. Of course, the menu includes cider, Styrian beer, and a good "Zirberl" (a typical Styrian sweet). The Rothaidenhütte is open from the beginning of June to the end of September.
