On a hill at the edge of the village lies the small but charming Gothic church, which also serves as a cemetery chapel. The cemetery is located directly west of the church. This should be kept in mind when viewing the church from the outside. Martin Luther's parents lived here in Möhra until they moved to the Mansfeld region. Martin Luther himself preached here on May 3, 1521, upon his return from the Diet of Worms, before being "kidnapped" nearby and taken to Wartburg Castle. The rest is history ;-)

Since 2002, the village community center has housed the Luther Rooms, an exhibition about Martin Luther and his family in Möhra.
