The Allerwehr near Marklendorf is a popular stopover for cyclists along the Aller River. The weir, built between 1913 and 1915 and featuring a hydroelectric power station and fish ladder, is located directly on the cycle and footpath and is freely accessible at all times. It's an ideal stopover or rest area, offering visitors the opportunity to experience both technological history and nature. Many cycle routes, such as those from Burgwedel or Schwarmstedt, pass by the weir, making it an integral part of day trips along the Aller River. Well-developed paths ensure that the Allerwehr can be easily integrated into longer tours, offering cyclists an idyllic waterfront destination.

Nice place to get straight to the shallow water on a long tour or on hot days. Even a small bench is available. Since the section is quite small, however, it is quickly "occupied" when in doubt.

A nice place with a bench where you can easily get to the water. Even with a car you could get right up to the bench.

A nice weir, which you can easily cross by bike (pushing) or on foot.

It is easy to get into the shallow water from the shore. Even with a car you could drive directly to the bench on the bank.
