The Gletscherstube Märjelen is located on the lake of the same name at an altitude of 2,363 meters. It is open from the beginning of July to mid-October. Overnight stays should be booked in advance. A series of small natural lakes and the reservoir form the Märjelensee area. A few decades ago, the lower section was a fairly large lake on the edge of the glacier, in which small icebergs floated.
