The Tunnel avoids the ascent to the crest of the mountain to pass from Fiescheralp to the Aletschgletscher, it is quite long (about 1km) and slippery inside. If you head towards the glacier, emerging out of the tunnel, you meet on the right the imposing Märjelensee, with its dam in the direction of the glacier, and on the left, the small lakes created by the weak stream, where it is easy to see flocks of sheep pasture. The Gletschertube refuge remains the one closest to the glacier, excellent if you plan to undertake excursions on ice or caving, for which you need to stay at least one night.
