🌄🥾 On the hike from Kandersteg to the Berghotel Schwarenbach you will experience the breathtaking beauty of the Bernese and Valais Alps. The route is about 10 km long and takes about 3-4 hours, with an elevation gain of 700 - 800m. Look out for the spectacular views of Lake Oeschinen - an ideal photo opportunity! Look out for native animals such as ibexes and chamois. Start early to enjoy the quiet morning hours with views of the majestic mountains. 🚶♂️✨

Well frequented, clean and well organized hut, good food. Unfortunately only sweetened march tea, water has to be bought. That's not necessarily contemporary.

There are numerous opportunities for climbing near the hut. Well-equipped climbing gardens with numerous routes, including easier levels of difficulty. So ideal for training 😊

Starting point for crossing the Wildstrubel. Good mood in the hut and excellent food. With luck I was even able to borrow crampons and ice ax :-), because I came by bike and didn't have space for all the glacier equipment.
