From the edge of Gstaad village at 1,047 meters, you can take the gondola lift, which climbs approximately 900 meters in altitude, to the Höhi Wispile mountain station. Cable car operations for the 2025 summer season begin on June 14, 2025, and run until October 12, 2025.

The Soldier's Chalet is an idyllic place to stock up on supplies and enjoy the panoramas of the Gastlosen. The chalet is open between May 15 and November 1.

The Berghaus Wispile is located high above Gstaad and offers breathtaking views of the Saanenland and the surrounding Alps. The Berghaus is a popular starting point for hikes and mountain bike tours in the region. The restaurant at the Berghaus Wispile serves a selection of traditional Swiss dishes and homemade specialties. The sunny terrace invites you to enjoy the impressive mountain scenery with a leisurely meal or a drink. For families, there is a playground and petting zoo near the Berghaus, making it an ideal destination for all ages.

If you are looking for a thrilling and scenic hike in the Swiss Alps, you should check out Devil's Quille. A path takes you across the Tsanfleuron glacier, from where you can admire the view of the Diablerets mountain group and the Oldenhorn summit. The trail ends at the Tour Saint Martin, also known as the Devil's Keel, a rock spire that rises above the glacier. The hike is easy to moderate, but you should follow the marked trail and wear appropriate shoes. You can also enjoy the free Ice Express chairlift and the world's highest toboggan run at Glacier 3000 Station. This ride will make you feel like you're on top of the world!

A very nice hut to spend the night. It is always run by other volunteers. Go outside at dusk to watch the chamois graze. Please note: they only sell snacks and drinks here, so bring your own meals. You can spend the night comfortably but basic on the top floor.
