1532년 9월, 엔체스펠트-피샤우에서 투르크 군대가 격멸되었습니다. 가벼운 투르크 기병(아킨치)들이 피텐탈로 흩어졌습니다. 그들은 사나운 농부들에게 글라이센펠트 근처의 절벽으로 몰려 죽음으로 떨어졌다고 합니다 - "튀르켄슈투르츠"(투르크인의 추락). 이를 기념하기 위해 리히텐슈타인 공작이 1824/25년에 이곳에 인공 유적을 세웠습니다.

The view from the Gfiederwarte is simply breathtaking. At the top of the Gfiederberg, at an elevation of approximately 600 meters, you'll enjoy an impressive panoramic view of the surrounding countryside. On clear days, the view extends as far as the Vienna Basin, the foothills of the Alps, and sometimes even as far as the Schneeberg. The Gfiederwarte is a wooden observation tower on the Gfiederberg near Ternitz and a popular destination for hikers and nature lovers. After a short but rewarding climb, the tower rewards you with a magnificent panoramic view of the Schwarza Valley, the Vienna Basin, and, on clear days, even the Alps. The platform is solidly built and easily accessible – perfect for a rest with a panoramic view. It's an ideal place to pause and enjoy the beauty of the landscape.

From the Gfiederwarte you have a great view of Ternitz and the surrounding villages as far as the Schneeberg. During Advent the candle is lit in the evenings.

The view from above is priceless

The tower of the Turk's fall collapsed. With it, the crescent moon at the top also fell into the depths (the district papers reported). Now the crescent could be found. GLEISSENFELD (ts/e_peinsipp). The Turk's Fall is a landmark that can be seen from afar for the nature park and the hiking area with historical significance. But recently part of the ruin, which was artificially created over 200 years ago, collapsed. Parts of the boulders rolled through the forest to the hiking trails that began in the valley. Now the long-lost crescent that sat at the top of the Turk's Fall Tower could be handed over to the community again.
