Beautiful mountain hut on the shore of the Giglachsee. Especially the location makes this mountain hut a real recommendation! The food at the hut itself as well as the sleeping places leave something to be desired.

The Seethalerhütte on the Dachstein is located at 2,740 m, making it the highest mountain hut in Upper Austria. Surrounded by the eternal ice of the Dachstein glacier, the hut is located in a breathtaking setting and offers a wonderful view of the mountains all the way to the Großglockner. Delicious food, friendly service, great panoramic windows in the dining room and a beautiful sun terrace with a mountain panorama. What more could you want?? Oh, and you can also stay overnight 😉. You can also take a nice round trip from the parking lot in Kaiserau via the Klinke Hütte to the Mödlinger Hütte and back

After almost 10 hours of hiking, I'm as happy as a little kid. The great sun terrace and the view of the valley will delight everyone who arrives. The landlord is a very helpful and the food is very good.

Approx. 2km away from the gondola mountain station - a nice destination for a short glacier hike.
