It's best to go clockwise. Then at the end, when your feet get tired, you have a view over the lake to the Zugspitze and it almost goes by itself.

This is where the best pictures at the Eibsee are made. Especially at sunrise you have the possibility of a perfect reflection in the water, the Zugspitze in the background and the Sasseninsel in the water.

Also very nice in winter. The path is prepared for a winter hike and is very easy to walk. There is plenty of seating along the lake with great views and lots of rubbish bins.
