Rosenberg Castle was built at the end of the 16th century by the two craftsmen brothers Karl and Hans Rosenberger zu Rosenegg on a property previously used purely for agriculture (a vineyard). Today, it is located in the center of the town of Zell am See. The castle has been used as the town hall since 1970.
