Not far from Tiefenbach lies the entrance to the Breitach Gorge. A natural wonder beyond compare! "There the waters of the Breitach churn and boil, roar and hiss" through the narrow gorge.
A path leads along the Gaisalpbachs up to the Gaisalpe. It takes about 40 minutes from the valley to the Gaisalpe, with almost 300 meters difference in altitude.
The path through the Oytal is one of the classics in Oberstdorf and is correspondingly well attended. But still worth it because it's really beautiful.
When descending from the Seealpe station to Oberstdorf, be sure to take the path over the Faltenbachtobel.
