The three rustic log cabins at 1,050 m above sea level not only offer a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain peaks, but are also ideal starting points for numerous mountain bike tours. The Podolerteich and Muhrenteich circuit is particularly recommended, a well-signposted path that leads directly past the cabins. After an eventful day on the bike, the nearby idyllic Podolerteich invites you to relax and swim. The cabins, made of lovingly self-built wood from the farm's own forest, offer a cozy atmosphere. The farm right next door is home to not only many animals, but also a large playground and a beautiful garden with a soul swing. Perfect for the whole family. In my opinion, it's not for beginners. The route through the forest is an experience, but it can be quite challenging here and there. So always be careful and cautious when going downhill! The mountain bike should definitely be suitable for downhill riding!

Official mountain bike trail that starts at the Murauer Hut and runs down to Murau. The route is a "shared" trail, which means it is actually a hiking trail that bikers and hikers use at the same time. So you always have to expect hikers along the entire route and should be ready to brake accordingly! The route is a classic "nature trail"! There are no built ramps or jumps here. It is simply a hiking trail with an incredible number of roots, stones, steps and sometimes steep gradients. Pure nature! Overall, I would classify the route as S2. I was "lucky" that it rained when I visited, which meant that the roots were extremely slippery and you also had to be very careful with the stones at times. In dry weather the trail is definitely a lot easier. However, it is not suitable for beginners. I had a lot of fun, a fantastic trail! Definitely try it out if you are in the area.

The 2.6-kilometer-long single trail is narrow in places and technically demanding (difficulty level S2). The trail is therefore suitable for advanced mountain bikers - it can be mastered with a lot of sensitivity and without going too fast. And you also get a beautiful mountain landscape for free.

It's good to find out beforehand whether the wind will blow. Because when the wind blows up here, it's strong 🌬️
