The Trinity Column (also called the Plague Column) stands in the middle of the historic market square. It dates back to the 18th century and was donated by a couple from Hallstatt who made salt as a thank you for the fact that the plague was over.

A really nice bike path. Just don't drive on the west side, it's very dangerous. Whether you have to go to Hallstatt is up to you. One look is enough for us.

Super bike and footpath, some of which "was beaten directly into the rock" and can be driven on via suspended rubberized paths. Should serve as a model for other bike trails, fun to ride here!
