There is a marked winter hiking trail around the lake. However, it is only partially groomed and therefore very suitable for snowshoes.

The border between Switzerland (Canton of Graubünden) and Austria (State of Tyrol) runs somewhat unexpectedly through the Fimbatal. A sign indicates that the external border of the European Union is also located here. A border stone can be seen next to the path.

A beautiful area for snowshoe hikes. I would only venture outside of the marked winter hiking trails with an experienced guide.

If the conditions are good, walking around the lake on snowshoes is possible but is only recommended with a guide.

Anyone who has reached the Bielerhöhe (2037 NN) needs a break and will be more than rewarded with the view of the Silvretta reservoir.

https://youtu.be/mvfIYkVFfRc From the Heidelberger Hütte there is a steep climb of a few hundred meters, but can also be done with an e-bike. From the top of the pass it's just fun. A fantastic descent, partly scree, partly flowing. Have fun!

The Bielerhöhe is an absolute top highlight, regardless of whether you are on a racing bike, touring bike or MTB. In addition to the two "car routes", there is also at least one that is only for cyclists and hikers. This is paved and beautiful. Unfortunately, I don't know if there are "typical" MTB routes.

Great view of both countries from up here. There was no sign of customs, but .... The long lift rides up to here are rewarded with super valley runs on both sides.
