The Myra Falls are a series of waterfalls in the Myrabach in Muggendorf, Lower Austria. The Johannesbachklamm is a popular destination all year round. In summer it is pleasantly cool, in winter it becomes a glittering wonderland: At the atmospheric Advent market there is mulled wine and punch between bridges, rocks and (with a bit of luck) snow-covered trees. There is a lot to discover in and around the gorge - demanding hiking tours , family-friendly paths, deer park, the Schrattenstein castle ruins, small waterfalls, cozy huts. For refreshment, the gorge innkeeper offers hearty goulash or fiery chicken soup. And at the end of a long day you can relax and recharge your batteries in the Würlach wellness world. By the way: the gorge may already look familiar to you - in 2022 it was in the final of the ORF show "9 places - 9 treasures".

Wonderful waterfalls - unfortunately dried up for the first time this year (October 21)! But nature is impressive even without the thundering water.

The area is really beautiful, especially on September 2nd, 2021 at 4:00 p.m., when it was not particularly crowded with sunshine and warm temperatures. Unfortunately, the pork Wiener Schnitzel in the Myra-Stubn was totally tasteless. Otherwise, a really nice destination. By bike from Vienna, round trip and eating, you have to plan on 6 hours. For me, it was about 138 km. There are 3 charging stations at the Myra-Stubn for e-bikes to use for FREE. The station is powered by solar power from EVN.
