A few meters from the forest path there is a massive strin that marks the summit of the Etschberg.

There are still remains of walls and stairs at the site of this highlight. The (current) red and white radio mast is located about 100 m further west.

The 352-meter-high Etschberg summit is unfortunately unspectacular and doesn't offer any great views. However, the high-altitude trail leads right past it, and if it weren't for a stone marking the summit, you'd simply walk right past it. The view can be enjoyed in the winter months. When the trees are green again, it's hard to see. The bank is not the newest, but still quite ok. Here you can take a break in peace, since there are only a few people here. The way here is worth it just because of the beautiful sandstone cliffs that you pass. However, sturdy shoes are recommended.

The view and bench are getting very old. The path there is beautiful and leads past various rocks.
