The entire area belongs to the water protection zone, the water surface is approx. 3 hectares. There are walking paths, hiking trails and riding trails around the pond. There are also opportunities for fishing, the fisherman's hut is in the immediate vicinity. In addition, those looking for relaxation will find a refuge and a barbecue area near the pond as well as an excursion restaurant to stop off at. The lawns around the pond invite you to relax. Swimming in the pond is officially not permitted by the city of St. Ingbert.

As a sight in the local recreation area in the middle of the Bliesgau Biosphere Reserve, the Niederwürzbacher or Würzbacher Weiher has a lot to offer for young and old, with numerous seating areas, lawns for sunbathing, feeding stands and beer gardens, everyone is guaranteed to get their money's worth! The pond is also suitable as a starting and finishing point for a wide variety of sports such as running, racing bike, MTB, gravel, etc., as there are numerous other sights and forest areas in the immediate vicinity, which certainly make a visit worthwhile!

The Beeder Biotope is home to many animal species. In addition to Konik horses and Heck cattle, the white stork and nutria are now at home there. Due to the sometimes narrow spots at the viewpoints on the bike trail, you should always watch out for each other :-) "Lawn" is not so good when there are high numbers of people ;-), even if the great asphalt invites you to do so.
