„반도에 자리한 멋진 몬포르트(Montfort) 폐허 – 제가 본 것 중 가장 아름다운 폐허입니다.“ 안네테 폰 드로스테-휠쇼프(Annette von Droste-Hülshoff)는 편지 중 하나에서 몬포르트 폐허를 이렇게 묘사했지만, 이 폐허는 1861년에 „동화 속 성“을 위해 철거되었습니다. 1866년 무어 양식으로 지어진 몬포르트 성은 랑겐아르겐(Langenargen)의 화려한 랜드마크입니다. 호수 안의 작은 반도에 자리한 이곳은 오늘날 꿈꾸고, 축하하고, 식사하고, 즐기기에 좋은 장소입니다.

The Kavalierhaus is charmingly situated on the edge of the castle park. Architecturally, it is related to Montfort Castle. In 1866 the construction of the Kavalierhaus began. Today the building houses a restaurant with a bar and lounge in the castle park on the ground floor, a studio apartment for the scholarship holders on the first floor and an event hall on the top floor.

Lindau is known for its old town island. In the harbor are the statue of the Bavarian lion and the stone Lindau lighthouse overlooking the lake and mountains. The Mangturm from the 12th century stands on the lake promenade at the harbor.
