A very beautiful and unspoiled valley. The Weißeritz Valley Railway passes by every now and then.

It's just incredibly beautiful here 😊.

You can learn a lot of interesting information on this educational trail. Ideal for young and old.

The hiking trail through the Rabenauer Grund along the red Weißeritz is fantastically beautiful and easy to walk. You are accompanied by the sound of the source river.

The riverbed of the Rote Weißeritz meanders through a picturesque landscape from Freital-Coßmannsdorf towards Rabenau and Seifersdorf. This V-shaped valley, which is up to 80 metres deep, is known far beyond the city as Rabenauer Grund and has inspired works of art by famous painters such as Johann Alexander Thiele, Caspar David Friedrich and Ludwig Richter. The bizarre rock formations and landmarks, to which various legends and events are attributed, are particularly striking. Some of these are explained on waymarks and signs (for example Einsiedlerfelsen, Predigtstuhl, Nadelöhr, Goldstampfe, Nixentump, Pferdetump, Planwiese, Trompeterfelsen). The valley has been a nature reserve since 1961 because of its flora and fauna, which include rare species. Source: https://www.freital.de/Kultur-Tourismus/Ausflugsziele-Information/Rabenauer-Grund/

It's impressive to see these stairs. The small bridge that can be seen in the pictures is not accessible, but that doesn't matter.

The hermit stone is a historical monument to the hermit Dippold, who lived in a hut here on Dippoldiswalder Marktsteig and looked after the Katharinen Chapel
