The whole forest area between Siegburg and Lohmar is worth a hiking trip! There is a lot of nature, beautiful, dry paths in an otherwise wet landscape (former moor). Inclines are age appropriate.

The Vierbucher Mühle was first mentioned in 1576 and was a grain mill for a long time. At the beginning of the 20th century the first summer guests came and in 1953 the mill was closed. Today there is a wildlife park, a fishing park, and a hotel and restaurant. After your hike, you can make yourself comfortable in the beer garden and let yourself be pampered. Winterscheid is a well-kept place with a committed local history association, which has signposted a "history path" with information boards on various older buildings.
