Great view of the Black Forest

The water is not regularly tested and is therefore not drinking water according to legal regulations. However, there are no settlements, industry or intensive agriculture upstream. The water is therefore drinkable. It does not taste particularly good, but it quenches your thirst. The Schwarzenberghütte has benches all around the inside and lockable shutters. It is a good place to wait out bad weather, but it is also suitable for an overnight stay. Outdoor seating, a fireplace, a small playground (swing) and the fountain make the rest area "complete". From here you should also make a detour to the castle ruins.

The well is next to the hut. The water was refreshing.

Here begins a short steep descent and ends a steep climb with loose gravel!

Nice hut that lends itself to a break

You can linger and rest at the Fuchsbuckhütte. Either you then go into the forest in the direction of the Eichelspitzturm or Schelinger Matte or in the direction of Bötzingen to the train station. You can also easily get to the Totenkopf. The signage is very good there.
