Beautiful cycle paths and great views of the newly created lake landscape. Welzow, a mining town, is also worth a visit. The local Kumpelklause has excellent food and friendly service.

With a water area of 1,330 hectares, it is the largest of 30 artificial lakes that were created as part of the recultivation of the Lusatian brown coal mining area. It is created from the former Sedlitz opencast mine.

A good starting point for a bike tour. There is a large, free parking lot directly at the harbor/district office on weekends.

The lighthouse is a very nice hotel with a good restaurant. You should definitely reserve a table on Sunday afternoon. The sunsets are fantastic.

Absolutely beautiful tour around Lake Senftenberg, easy level of difficulty and mostly shady. Gastronomy along the way is also sufficient and good. At the "leaning tower" it's worth climbing up to 32m and a goulash cannon awaits you with a view over the lake below. There are plenty of parking spaces with toilets all around.

If the circuit around Lake Senftenberg is too short for you: there is a connection to the circuit around Lake Geierswalde near Großkoschen.

The pier extends 80 meters out onto the lake. Passenger shipping, a boat and bicycle rental service, as well as a restaurant and a maritime store make the city harbor a popular destination. The Sedlitzer See is not yet usable for water tourism. At the mouth of the Sorno Canal, a stop at the rust-red lookout tower "Rostiger Nagel" is worthwhile.

The Senftenberger See is always worth a trip. Whether by bike or on foot, in the summer for swimming or going out by boat, there are many ways to explore the area here.

Again and again there is a beautiful view of the lake from the bike path. Here there is an "inlet" on the north bank. Entering the bank area is prohibited because of the "risk of the slope slipping off".
