The well-maintained dirt road, which is mostly flat and well-packed, makes a great loop with the Beall and Ridge trails.

Just off Country Road 45, you will discover the trailhead for the Rotary Loop Trail. This path winds through vibrant fields of wildflowers, offering stunning panoramic views and a chance to encounter wildlife. It's an off-the-beaten-track experience for this neck of the woods.

Meaden Pass doesn't get plowed til July 1. So it can still be snow covered in spots prior to July 1. The descent on the eastern side can be loose & rocky making it a little more technical than most descents on the ride.

The Little Snake River runs through a scenic and remote area in Northwest Colorado close to the Wyoming border. You'll see plenty of wildlife, as well as cattle along the river. Much of the area along the Little Snake in on private land.

Slater is a tiny town near the border of Wyoming & Colorado. It is a cattle ranching community in a beautiful creek fed valley.
