This trail is the best thing about Syracuse! Can’t get enough of it and am constantly going back. Well maintained, beautiful and stunning

Altogether the Onondaga Creekwalk runs almost five miles through Syracuse, much of it right alongside the creek. It's paved for easy access and multi use and helps link notable parts of the city for pedestrian use, including Franklin Square and the Southside neighborhood.

All told this paved multi-use trail runs 4.8 miles alongside the creek, through Syracuse and on to Onondaga Lake. It takes you past some of Syracuse's most famous landmarks, including the century-old Onondaga Park.

Onondaga lake is 4.6 miles but only 1 mile wide - on clear days, you can see the east shore from the other side of the lake. Very nice path with beautiful views!

When you arrive at Jordan from the Erie Canal Trail, you'll notice Jordan Village's unique character with its 19th and early 20th-century architecture. It's a great spot to wander around, take in the historic buildings, and pause for a break before moving forward or heading back along the trail.
