Buck Mountain is the most popular mountain in the Lake George Wild Forest. At the summit you are treated to views northward toward Lake George, the Tongue, and Sleeping Beauty Mountain.
From the gazebo you get a view across the southern tip of Lake George. There is a grassy field adjacent the gazebo that works well for picnics or lawn games.
The lower segment of the Buck Mountain Trail climbs slowly as you cross a stream multiple times. The trail is heavily wooded and especially beautiful in autumn.
