Steinbachtal The one square kilometer Steinbachtal west of the Saarschleife has been one of the nature reserves of the Saarland since October 1991. It is characterized by ravine-like rock formations, playful streams and mossy forest floor.

A little away from the hustle and bustle of the Saar loop, treetop path and visitor center, the Steinbachtal offers a leisurely hiking trail through the forest with some rock faces and watercourses. The Steinbachtalweg allows you to easily overcome the height difference between the banks of the Saar and the Cloef lookout point.
