The Riederstein (1207m) is a rock spur that can be seen from afar, approx. 150 meters above the Galaun Alm with the mountain inn there. Anyone who completes the well-known Stations of the Cross with its 14 display panels of Christ's suffering from 1897 and its approximately 500 steps definitely deserves a reward. The view of Tegernsee and the surrounding mountains from the small platform behind the chapel is definitely a worthy compensation for the effort.

The Wendelsteinkircherl is a hundred meters below the summit, not far from the mountain station of the Wendelsteinbahn. She belongs to the Catholic. Brannenburg parish in the district of Rosenheim. Consecrated on August 20, 1890, it is dedicated to the Patrona Bavariae. This neo-Gothic building is often mistakenly referred to as the "Wendelstein Chapel", which is not only wrong in the canonical sense, but also misleading, because in addition to the Wendelstein Church, there is actually a much older (1718) wooden Wendelstein Chapel.
