The Haferberg is the highest elevation in the Hann Nature Park. Münden and the 4th highest elevation in the Kaufunger Forest. From here you can look north-east far across the country to the Harz / Brocken.

A particularly beautiful view and in the evening hours with sunset

The Hoher Kopf is 539.4 m above sea level. NHN. You can take a break on a bench with a table and enjoy the beautiful view. Also a great place for sunset!

Here on the Hirschberg hill is the highest point of the Kaufungen Forest (643.4 m above sea level). It lies in the middle of a wooded area and has been beautifully landscaped by the Rommerode Cultural Association. Two donated benches are available for resting. Stones marking the cardinal directions have been placed around the main point.

Unfortunately, the ideal way to get there is not marked on komoot. It is best to follow the wooden signs "Zum Hirschberg" from the refuge above Rommerode. Some of the marked komoot paths are not (or no longer) available or are not mobile!
