Good opportunity to do something good on the round

The Heidelstein transmitter is located on the 926 m high Heidelstein in the Franconian part of the Rhön. It consists of a 218 meter high guyed tubular steel mast built by Deutsche Telekom AG in 1969, which carries antennas for radio relay and for broadcasting TV and VHF radio programs.

The ascent alone is an adventure. It goes over stairs and rocks through a forest. Then over steps to the summit. From the top you have a breathtaking view of Kreuzberg and Heidelstein. And especially to the Wasserkuppe.
