Rapperswil Castle Rapperswil Castle is the landmark of the picturesque rose town on Lake Zurich. The castle, built at the beginning of the 13th century and later remodeled several times, can be seen from afar. It sits majestically above the town on the Lindenhof, a ridge that runs through Rapperswil. The renovated castle offers an atmospheric tour and takes visitors on a fascinating journey through its history. A highlight for children is sure to be the northern slope of the castle hill, where fallow deer have lived since 1871, a reminder of the legend of the town's founding. Just below the deer park, various play elements, such as a climbing wall and a speaking tube, invite children to play and let off steam. The exhibition inside the castle is open to visitors. In addition, the castle tower offers breathtaking views of the town and the lake. Easy to ride from Lake Sihl, on the east side there is a fast descent (or long uphill ride...).

The trip over the lake dam is impressive and beautiful.

It's a beautiful bike ride. Plenty of parking is available (fee applies). Nearby is the Egg swimming pool, with a snack stand (sausage and sandwiches). The Greifensee and Lützelsee lakes are 48 km away, and are also suitable for children.

A nice climb with a good gradient. Perfect for training for the big passes.

There is a very nice cycle path around the Greifensee, super nice to ride
