Kırkpınar is a Turkish oil wrestling tournament where Pehlivans compete for three days. It is held annually, usually at the end of June, near Edirne, since 1360. The final held on the last day determines the first, second and third pehlivans. It is at a distance of 2km from the center.

Very large contiguous forest area (National Park) with beautiful paths. Also highly recommended - cafeteria with very friendly staff at the foot of the walk in Dadia. I often go there by bicycle.
