The cellar facades feature flattened gables, typical of Burgenland's cellar lanes. A specific feature of the Edelstal cellar district, however, is the predominance of round gables.

A 22.7-meter-high observation tower located right next to a listening post used by the National Security Agency (NSA)—something like it seems to be unique to Austria. To be more precise, the tower, built in 2001, stands on the Königswarte near Hainburg, Austria's easternmost mountain—right on the border with Slovakia. The wooden tower offers a wonderful view that extends far beyond the former Iron Curtain and includes the Königswarte listening post operated by the Austrian Federal Army.

Kellergasse Prellenkirchen The Kellergasse Prellenkirchen is located in the Spitzerberg nature reserve, part of the Carnuntum wine-growing region. Large rocky steppes, dry grasslands and the dry Pannonian climate characterize this region. This type of nature offers ideal conditions for wine-growing. It is worth combining a visit to the Kellergasse with a visit to the wine-growing museum or getting to know the Pannonian peculiarities of the fauna and flora on the hiking trails on the Spitzerberg. Old border crossing to Austria

First there's the headwind and the heat. Then the road is blocked!

A part of Austrian/European history.

This concrete block is not the former Berg border crossing. Rather, it was a German tank barrier that was used by Russian occupiers and (poorly) labeled. A sign next to it explains its origin. This relic was found during excavation work in Berg and set up as a memorial.
